Sing It Loud
Sing It Loud
Review by Nick Cottin
Pop quiz! What do you get when you mix Sing It Loud and their self titled
EP? Don't know the answer? Well, after listening to the 5 songs, you'll be
quick to realize the answer to the question is "summer anthems." Sing It Louds
EP is equipped with nothing but the finest pop rock that's best played with
the windows down while driving in sunny weather. The EP kicks off with the opening song "No One Can Touch Us" which
is a clever title, seeing how no one will be able to catch this band on their rise to stardom. This song features Alex Gaskarth (All Time Low) giving listeners a familiar voice and a great start to the EP.
What's needed in a "summer anthem" album? Catchy sing alongs, that's what, and the next song "I've Got a Feeling" gives you just that. Next up is the third song, "Bite Your Lip." Now, let me warn you, this song is almost guaranteed to get stuck in your head. You may think you've heard the closing song, "Come Around," before. It's quite possible you have, seeing how this song was previously recorded with the full band, but Sing It Loud switch things up on you by turning this song into an acoustic one. Doing so was a good idea, seeing how listeners may appreciate the mellow end to this EP.
If you like Motion City Soundtrack (whose singer produces this EP) and hot weather, then you'll quickly become a fan of Sing It Loud, and you may just find yourself doing what their name insists on you doing.
