The Clash
The Essential Clash

Review by Ed Roberts
Issue 3, Winter/Spring 2004

The Clash is one of the many great punk bands of our time, also including the Ramones and the Sex Pistols. The Clash recently came out with a new CD entitled "The Essential Clash," which is a total of 40 songs from their other records including "London Calling," "Should I Stay or Should I Go," "Guns of Brixton," and "I Fought the Law," to name a few. The new CD features amazing vocals, killer guitar solos, and just a great overall feel. It is a definite must have if you are a die-hard Clash fan or even if you aren't - You still need to have this CD which you can get at any music store.

Best Guitar Solo- "London Calling"

Easiest To Dance To- "Should I Stay or Should I Go"

Best Overall Song- "London Burning" or "Guns of Brixton"

All and all, I rate this CD a 5 out of 5. I would also recommend Black 47, The Sex Pistols or The Ramones for anyone interested in varying their musical taste.
