Boys Night Out
Nicole Gough's interview with guitarist/backing vocalist Jeff Davis
Issue 3, Winter/Spring 2004
S&S: When did you guys become a band?
Jeff: We became a serious band around 2 years ago.
S&S: How does it feel to be touring with Catch-22?
Jeff: We're touring with Slick Shoes and Catch 22. It's awesome; we're having a great time so far. We didn't know what to expect, touring with a ska band, but it's awesome.
S&S: What's the first show you can remember going to?
Jeff: Ah fuck...Tom Cochrane. Punk rock show? I don't even remember who played. It was in some dude's back yard, and I got wasted.
S&S: How do you find inspiration for your songs?
Jeff: Being hung over and feeling shit is always a great time to write songs.
S&S: What tattoo would you like to get (if any)?
Jeff: Uh..A baseball diamond with a skull and crossed bats behind it with a banner that says "baseball or die."
S&S: Where would you really like to tour? (ie, Hawaii, Australia, Alaska, Guam)
Jeff: Europe actually, and Japan. If we tour Japan, we're gonna play black metal songs. They love that shit.
S&S: If you could carve anyone's face into a jack o'lantern on Halloween, who's would it be?
Jeff: Magnum P.I.
S&S: What advice do you have for fans and people trying to start a band?
Jeff: Stay in school, stop listening to punk rock, get married and make money.
